Welcome to Message a Day!
Message a Day was founded on the idea that IF change & good decision-making were so easy, we would all be fit, successful, and ... EVERYTHING!
We all know it's harder than that. Information isn't enough. It's not enough if you really want change. People need support and encouragement. And they need it over a period of time.
Change requires effort. And while we LOVE books, we know that simply reading a book doesn't work.
We believe that when it comes to personal change and evolution, a slow and steady information drip, accompanied by encouragement and opportunity for practicing the new skill, is an effective way to achieve change. And the data agrees. Researchers have proven this concept in clinical trials related to smoking cessation where smokers were twice as likely to remain continuously abstinent with the support of regular text messages.
You can imagine with that kind of data, we are really excited about the positive change that's possible through Message a Day. Having said that, we do not promote Message a Day as a substitute for therapy or a doctor's advice. We do recommend our message streams as an adjunct to other resources you may be using.
Enjoy!
